SkinMatch — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

SkinMatch ("the App", "we") is a Korean/English cosmetics routine helper. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Photos and Images

When you take or select a photo of a cosmetic product, the image is sent to our servers solely to identify the product and analyze ingredients. Photos are processed transiently and are not used for any purpose other than this analysis.

2.2 Routine Data

Products you save to your routine are stored locally on your device. We do not associate this data with your real identity.

2.3 Device Information

We may receive standard, non-identifying technical data (device model, OS version, app version, anonymous request IDs) to operate and improve the service.

2.4 What We Do NOT Collect

• Name, email, phone number, address
• Location data
• Contacts, calendar, or other device data
• Advertising identifiers
• Account credentials (the App requires no sign-up)

3. How We Use Information

• Identify cosmetic products from photos you submit
• Analyze ingredients and provide AM/PM recommendations
• Maintain and improve the service
• Diagnose technical issues

4. Third Parties

We use AI image recognition and language model providers to analyze product photos and ingredients. Photos are sent to these providers only for the purpose of immediate analysis and are not retained for training.

5. Data Retention

Submitted photos are processed and discarded after analysis. Routine data on your device persists until you delete the App.

6. Your Rights

Because the App requires no account, all of your routine data lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App or uninstalling it.

7. Children

SkinMatch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect data in our processing pipeline.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
